Bart Edelman has edited 11 volumes of Eclipse, A Literary Journal, since 2000. He selects the finest fiction and poetry from established writers and emerging new talent throughout the world. He also commissions the cover art for each volume. (Click on any image to see full-sized cover art.)
Eclipse is an eclectic journal that provokes its readers by challenging their notions about the world around us. Eclipse strives to be a literary voice, capable of providing a language which pictures the landscape in words we may have heard before, but don't always speak.
Eclipse was founded in 1989 as a student creative writing publication of Glendale College. In 1999, Eclipse was published as a national literary journal with 85% of its contributions from established writers and 15% from students.
Eclipse's contributors have been nominated for Pushcart Prizes and other illustrious literary awards. Recent contributors include Dana Gioia, William Heyen, Wanda Coleman, Charles Harper Webb, George Rabasa, Richard Schmitt and Sandra Kohler.
